Teaching Opportunity

Ok, so I am looking in to Grad School and all because there's this possibility that it will be free with a TA position (Teaching Assistant). Any way, I've found out that I could go to Miami of OH or Purdue in Indy. Both have comparable programs for a MS in Chemistry and Education. This is pretty much the best possible masters degree for me and these are the closest places that offer it. I don't really know if I really want to go away for grad school, but free is free!! The other thing, however, is that I don't know if the whole free thing will work out. So it's all up in the air.

Now, the news...

I am being recruited. The Ass. Super Intendent in Ft. Thomas is bugging me about teaching 8th gr. Science NEXT YEAR! Now, I am not graduating until next Dec. so that presents a problem. But, wait! They said they would work around my schedule... Oh yeah! They said I could have planning and lunch back-to-back.

So here's the deal: I can take all but one of my classes in the summer; I can take that one class on M-W-F during planning; I could be paid to teach the first semester under emergency certification and then the second semester I could start my "Internship Year"; I would go on to teach there, or somewhere else, the next year to finish my internship year; only then could I go on to do the MS program full-time.

Problems: That last step mentioned about the full-time MS ain't gonna happen if I'm hired on somewhere. So, I won't be able to do the masters I want, or for free, unless UC, XU, NKU, etc. starts that program.
